Chris is a new addition to Hidi Rae Consulting Engineers Inc. and brings ten years of consulting experience with a particular focus on sustainable design. His experience includes the application of passive design strategies, energy efficient HVAC systems, and water conserving plumbing systems.

Prior to joining Hidi Rae, Chris worked on a variety of commercial, industrial and health care projects.

The following is a brief summary of his projects:

  • Manitoba Hydro Downtown Office Tower (HVAC Project Principal - 720,000 sq.ft.)
  • Manitoba Hydro 820 Taylor renovation (Principal for Conceptual Design - 200,000 sq.ft.)
  • West Lethbridge Center (Project Principal into Design Development - 180,000 sq.ft.)
  • Lethbridge Regional Hospital chiller plant upgrade (Principal - 3,000 ton retrofit)
  • Lethbridge Regional Hospital surgical suite air handling system upgrade (Principal)
  • Nakoda Entertainment Resort - hotel and casino (Project Principal - 125,000 sq.ft.)
  • Park Place Mall, Lethbridge - renovations (Project Principal - 75,000 sq.ft.)
  • College Centre - extensive mall renovation (Project Principal - 65,000 sq.ft.)

  • Prairieview Elementary School (Certification Pending CANGBC - Target LEED Silver)

Chris obtained a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1996, from the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario.
