Ahmad joined Hidi Rae Consulting Engineers Inc. in 2002 having acquired over 16 years of experience in the mechanical building services industry as a Contractor, Designer and Project Manager, in India and Dubai. For 6 years prior to joining Hidi Rae, Ahmad headed the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Dubai Regional Office of W.S. Atkins, U.K., one of Europe's largest consulting companies.

Ahmad has designed, managed and supervised construction of a wide variety of projects including five-star hotels, shopping malls, multi-storey residential buildings, offices, computer rooms and banks. Projects have ranged from large campus-style multi-phase projects to high-rise point towers.

Ahmad is responsible as Design Engineer / Principal for the following projects:

• Canadian Embassy Dhaka, Bangladesh
• Toronto Eaton Centre - Yonge & Dundas St. Redevelopment
• Toronto Eaton Centre - Bay & Dundas St. Development
• TD Centre, Toronto - West Food Court Expansion

• Bell Creekbank, Toronto - Phase III Office Building
• 20 Queen Street West, Toronto - HVAC Upgrade
• Sportsnet Studios at Rogers Campus, One Mount Pleassant, Toronto

Ahmad graduated in 1985 from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
